【Plot Summary】
It took year to plan a trip with her boyfriend but on the day her trip is finally about to start, she got dumped! A girl who always lives her life as she plans it, Pan is now going to Japan but nothing is going as she imagined. Along the way, she experiences a long list of unfortunate events; forgetting to exchange the currency, getting lost, her rental car is broken an so her heart. Even though, nothing goes as planned but this off-plan trip allows her to see new places, new people and many memorable moments, it seems like sometimes, when you don’t expect so much, good things come to you unexpectedly and sometimes, you just need to skip the planning part and see where life takes you.
 
【Contextual explanation】
Every year, more and more Thais are traveling abroad especially to Japan, over 900,000 Thai tourists enjoy their time in the land of the rising sun annually. Most of them follow the “been there, done that” routine, they will try to go to as many landmarks as possible, have a decent photo taken perhaps another selfie then rush to another landmark. They go to many places but they indulge none, everyone comes back with the same picture taken from the same spot, their experiences are indifferent. On the other, going about without any routine, just go with the flow, you may find some difficulties upon the way but at least it will be unexpected, but that’s the beauty of it, any unexpected event lasts longer in your memories and it allows you to have your very own point of view to the whole experience.
 
【Purpose】
You can always expect the unexpectedness, like uncertainty is surely certain and “unexpected” is the keyword of this film Life is a journey full of unexpectedness, most of us don’t like the idea of unexpectedness, it means you are out of your comfort zone, there will be changes and many times, it brings along headaches and difficulties but that’s the beauty of it; you can’t move further without changes in every step of life, it’s a part of growing, growing into you, a newer you so we want to encourage people to just embrace the unexpectedness. (unexpectedness is a noun / unexpected is an adjective) In terms of strategy Visa’s strategy is to encourage people to travel more, to increase outbound tourism together with the usage of Visa card, and to communicate the benefit of visa card which are more convenient, faster, and safer than cash.
It is very common for Thai travelers to exchange cash when traveling abroad. This may leads to many problems, such as forgetting to bring cash, or not bringing enough or worse, losing it, these are unexpected situations that can always happen. We use these unexpected situations as the main insight to portray problems in this film.
